What is the nutrition that makes you feel so radiant and energetic? It sometimes seems like everyone has a different opinion about that. Not surprising, because everyone is different, everyone is unique, and as a result, something slightly different suits each person. But if we look closely, we see that the basics don’t differ much from each other. And what we actually see in all natural food movements and traditional eating habits is a form of detox. Simply supporting the body in eliminating waste products and ensuring that as many nutrients as possible are received and absorbed. How? Daily Detox Tip #4: Balance your healthy fats

But it’s not just about fats. You want to balance all your nutrients (and macronutrients). An excess of one or the other can ultimately lead to an imbalance in the body. But what that balance is exactly for you, that’s unique! It can differ per person and even per phase in your life, time in your cycle (for women), and the time of year.

The more you tune into your own body, the purer and more natural foods you start to eat, the better you can feel what your body needs. You might already notice that when it gets colder outside, you crave warm dishes more. Soups instead of salads. Around your menstruation, you might feel more like having avocado and after intensive exercise, you automatically eat a bigger meal. Ultimately, you know best what suits you. Mother Nature knows best, your body indicates it. It’s just up to us to learn to listen to the signals it gives us.

Fats are an important building block for, among others, your brain and hormones. Again, choose the healthy (whole food) variants. So, for example, chia & hemp seeds, avocado, coconut, nuts. But: don’t overload! We need only a small amount of it. Also, go easy on adding animal products. Animal products contain no fibers and no water, the digestion time is longer and the body has to process more toxic substances.
