Vegan restaurants in Vienna
Can you only indulge in apfelstrudel and Wiener schnitzel in Vienna? Absolutely not. Although this city has an enormous history, it is also a super modern place. You don’t have to try very hard to find the coolest vegan restaurants. Editor-in-chief Gabriëlle spent three days in this beautiful city and gathered a few cool hotspots.
Veggiezz
You can find Veggiezz at no less than three locations in Vienna, a restaurant with vegan dishes and many gluten-free options. I went for the gluten-free, vegan burgers with sweet potato fries with vegan mayo and vegan rosé. But there are also soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, vegan steaks, desserts, and even a whole range of vegan wines on the menu. Was it tasty? Delicious!
Tian Bistro
Looking for vegan food, but in a typical Viennese restaurant? Welcome to Tian Bistro. This restaurant with a cozy terrace is located in an enormously quaint street. An extensive legend indicates which dishes are vegan or contain possible allergens. I went for the Tian ‘Raphaello’ (inspired by those coconut candies) with shiitake sauce, cucumber-seaweed salad, and the homemade hibiscus lemonade. So yummy!
Delicious Vegan Bistro
Close to the popular Naschmarkt you will find Delicious Vegan Bistro. This tiny yet cozy terrace has varying dishes. This time on the menu? A sweet potato curry and an avocado bowl with black noodles. And the owner is super sweet. Like!
Un Petit Café
In the MuseumsQuartier you will find the beautiful yet cozy terrace of Un Petit Café. Here you can enjoy a vegan coffee, organic lemonade, or a (possibly vegan) soup. The owner is super sweet and passionately loves the business, you can tell right away. Such a nice place, this!
Neni
On the popular Naschmarkt you will find the trendy Neni. They have a few vegetarian options (like the vegetarian burger), but also some vegan options like caramelized eggplant with rice. Tastes good!
Denn’s Biomarkt
In regular supermarkets in Vienna, you can already find many organic and vegan products, but Denn’s Biomarkt takes the crown (just the vegan chocolate shelf alone!). We love!
