ROOS. Taste & Smile
You can find ROOS next to Dille & Kamille. Here you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with a vegan slice of banana cake, and you can certainly have breakfast or lunch here too. The nice thing is, they have delicious vegan options on the menu! And if there’s something that’s not completely vegan, it can of course be made for you! Definitely have the Kickstart for breakfast (Overnight oats with black currants and grated apple, soy-coconut yogurt, chia seeds, shaved almonds, and fresh seasonal fruit). Or go for an Acai smoothie bowl with a nice cup of tea! Also, pay attention to the tableware. Everything is super cute, you’d want to take it all home…

Lot & de Walvis
Another nice spot where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or even dinner is at Lot & de Walvis. Everything you see on the menu can be prepared vegan, or just send an email in advance. Midi Marché
Nearby ROOS is Midi Marché. Everything is made fresh here, so the ‘real’ flavors remain pure. Fragrant coffees, freshly blended shakes, homemade soups, fresh Mediterranean sandwiches, salads, and fresh meals, you can get it all here! It’s also possible to take your meal to go. For example, to eat it at home or take it to a nice spot in the park. (Tips: VD Werfpark, practically around the corner). A fun thing about this place is that you can watch in the open kitchen!

PLUUM Goodies and Gifts
This is an interior/gift shop where you can find fantastic items. We often get to borrow items for photoshoots, so you might recognize a lot from our photos. What makes the store extra cool is that they now sell plants in all sorts of shapes and sizes. And we love them. From a small banana plant to a trendy pancake plant. And if you’re looking for a pot, you can definitely succeed here too! After visiting PLUUM, wander through the Burgsteeg to visit more small boutiques. Everything is so cute and beautiful. And if you want a little more peace, just walk over to the Burcht.

Vintage Shopping
Furthermore, there are plenty of vintage shops where you can browse around and score the most beautiful items. We love second-hand shops or beautiful vintage stores. We’ve made a small overview here. Here it comes:
- Leuke zaak (address: Nieuwe rijn 17) // Here you will find beautiful second-hand clothing (but really beautiful) and some new items here and there. The building itself is already worth a visit. Beautiful ornaments on the ceiling and other ‘old’ details.
- Hartendief (address: Breestraat 171) // You can go here for bags, clothing or beautiful shoes. But also old posters, suitcases, or wooden stools can be found here!
- VNTG (address: Botermarkt 11) // This is a clothing shop (vintage, as the name suggests) next to ROOS. So after lunch, you can pop in to score a nice item here. Men can also shop here. When you step in, it feels like you are entering a living room.
