The cozy, bustling restaurant The Meets at Cornelis Troostplein in Amsterdam has been a favorite of ours for years. Healthy homemade dishes in a cozy place. Plant-based, but also with options with animal products so it doesn’t scare off if you bring ‘not-so-vegan’ friends here. You heard me (Tessa) let out a delighted squeal when I heard that The Meets has now opened a second location in Amsterdam East, where I very coincidentally live nearby.
The Meets:</
- Works with as many local suppliers as possible;
- And organic ingredients of the season;
- Has a unique drink menu with organic wines, exclusive beers, and festive cocktails.

Stylish and tasteful
We went here for my birthday. The location in the East is more spacious and just as atmospherically and stylishly decorated as in De Pijp. You can taste that the cocktails are designed by an award-winning cocktail shaker; they are very delicious!
The chef is Italian and you can taste that. The food was delicious! We were a group of four and ordered a variety of different dishes from the menu to share. This way we could taste more and always had small bites. Highly recommended!

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails
At The Meets, you don’t just come for dinner and cocktails. They also have a surprising and tasty menu for breakfast and lunch. Think of smoothie bowls with acai, matcha or dragon fruit, and spirulina buckwheat pancakes. Burgers (with vegan cheese) and sweet potato fries, a vegan Caesar salad of kale with avocado, chickpea croutons, and almond parmesan, or a farinata, Italian chickpea ‘pizza’.
We’ll stop at the desserts and cakes, just go there once! Even if it’s just for a latte or ginger tea with acai cashew cheesecake…
The Meets has a location in De Pijp and in Amsterdam East. They are open six to seven days a week.
